Texas Longhorns' McCoy: Halfbacks are dead even
Quarterback Colt McCoy said he notices no difference between Vondrell McGee, Fozzy Whittaker and Chris Ogbannaya, all of whom are competing to be the starting halfback.
"Coach [Major] Applewhite has them right where they need to be every time," McCoy said. "They're not making mistakes, they're getting yards when they need to and they're picking up blitzes, and that's all we can ask for."

McCoy had a lengthy touchdown run and threw a touchdown pass to James Kirkendoll during a scrimmage Wednesday. ... With the new 40-second clock rule, the Longhorns plan to use the no-huddle offense even more this season.
